Malice vs. Ignorance: Understanding The Difference Can Save Your Business
Most business owners make the same mistake.
They assume people who aren’t buying...
Are doing it on purpose.
They think their audience is resisting.
Or being difficult.
Or “not getting it.”
But that’s almost never true.
Here’s the reality:
Most people aren’t saying no out of MALICE.
They’re saying no out of IGNORANCE.
And understanding the difference can save your business.
Let me explain.
Malice = they know what you’re offering and they’re intentionally rejecting it.
Ignorance = they don’t understand what you’re offering or why it matters.
When someone says no out of malice...
There’s not much you can do.
They’re not your customer.
Move on.
But when someone says no out of ignorance...
That’s a YOU problem.
Not a THEM problem.
Because it means you haven’t communicated clearly enough.
You haven’t shown them why this matters.
You haven’t connected the dots.
Here’s an example:
Let’s say you’re selling a high-ticket coaching program.
And someone says “I can’t afford it.”
Most people assume that’s a real objection.
And they move on.
But often...
It’s ignorance.
They don’t understand the VALUE of what you’re offering.
They don’t see how it will pay for itself.
They don’t believe it will work for them.
So they default to “I can’t afford it.”
But if you take the time to EDUCATE them...
To show them the ROI...
To paint the picture of the transformation...
Suddenly, they CAN afford it.
Because now they understand.
Here’s the lesson:
When people don’t buy...
Don’t assume they’re being difficult.
Assume they don’t understand.
And then EDUCATE them.
Show them why this matters.
Show them what they’re missing.
Show them the cost of inaction.
Because most of the time...
People WANT to buy.
They just need to understand WHY.
And when you help them see that...
They’ll buy.
That’s the difference between malice and ignorance.
And understanding it can 10X your conversions.

Dude this makes complete sense!! Solid lesson
